This summer, I photographed a flower called an African Lily at Longwood Gardens. It had wonderful delicate purple flowers at the end of umbels. The variety I photographed was Ellamae.

African Lilies are also known as the Lily of the Nile. They are members of the Agapanthacaea family and are native to South Africa.
