Last month, I spent a wonderful morning at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond. My main reason for visiting the gardens was to see their orchid show – and to my great surprise – I found lots of daffodils already in bloom. The daffodils were blooming both indoors as part of the A Million Blooms celebration and some of the early blooming ones were already in full bloom outdoors.

Here are a few of the photos of the daffodils I took at Lewis Ginter that morning.

Cassata – a soft yellow & white split corona daffodil

And finally – Cum Laude – a soft peach and white split corona daffodil

This was the first time I”d photographed any of the varieties of the split corona daffodils – I really like the way they look. I”ll definitely keep my eye out for more of them to photograph.

Do you have a favorite type of daffodil?
