I’ve recently added a new photo – Farm in the Palouse – to my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.
In July I made my first visit to the Palouse region of Washington state. Over the years, I’ve seen many photos of the farms and fields in the region highlighting the contrasting colors between the wheat and other crops growing on the farms. But it wasn’t until I got there and saw how large the area is and for how many miles some of the fields seem to stretch on for that I began to understand the scope of the agricultural industry in that part of the state – and the incredible beauty of the farms. I photographed this scene from the side of one of many farm roads in the region. I loved the contrasting colors and shapes of the green, gold and brown fields — with the farm building nestled in a small valley among the hills. And then there was the magnificent blue sky with the white puffy clouds that made the scene look like it came out of an idyllic painting of an farm. But the scene was real – and I’m really glad I had a chance to photograph it this summer.
Farm in the Palouse is available as a matted print on my website.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo, Patty! It is so perfect, yet so very real!!
