I’ve recently added a new photo – Peppermint Carnations – to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.
One of the things I’ve discovered I love about photographing flowers in the my studio is that I can create close-up images of just parts of the flower – like I did in this photo of the petals of a group of peppermint carnations. In a garden, I usually can’t get close enough to the flowers to create images like this. Whereas in my studio, I can get as close as I want to – and move the flowers around so that the photo comes out looking like I wanted it to. When I saw the bold patterns of red and white in these flowers I knew I want to create a photograph that shared the patterns, textures and colors with you.
