Just after the first of the year I went up to Baltimore to check out the Rawlings Conservatory in Druid Hill Park. The original conservatory was built in 1888. It has updated and expanded since then. I spent most of my time photographing in the Orchid Room.
Here are some of the orchids I photographed in Baltimore.

You can probably expect to see many more orchid photos on our blog in the coming weeks. Since it’s winter, I’m doing virtually all my flower photography indoors these days. So, with all the wonderful orchid displays in the area, and the upcoming orchid shows in Washington DC and at Longwood Gardens, I’m sure I’ll be photographing even more orchids in the near future.
