Ranunculus

I recently photographed some wonderful flowers labeled as Ranunculus at Longwood Gardens. I haven’t been able to identify exactly what type of flower they are – ranunculus usually refers to a genus of plants in the buttercup family.

What I loved about these flowers were the amazing layers of petals in each one. If anyone can identify what these are – I’d love to know! Thanks
