A couple weeks ago I shared a few of my favorite photos from my visit to the Prison Farm in Atlanta, Georgia in my newsletter and here on my blog. I thought I’d share the whole set of my photos from that shoot here with you today.
I visited the Atlanta Prison Farm as part of Art Wolfe’s Abstract Atlanta workshop. We spent an afternoon photographing a graffiti covered partially burned abandoned prison. It’s the first time I’ve ever been on a photo shoot that required a police escort to visit the site, and where I could here the local S.W.A.T. team practicing in the distance. I never knew I could spend an afternoon fascinated by patterns, textures, lines and colors that I found in overlapping layers of chipping paint and rust!
Here’s what I came away with . . . I think you’ll agree – this is one of the more unusual sets of photos I’ve shared here on my blog.
