In the first decades of the twentieth-century, the Kodak Company ran an ongoing advertising campaign designed to encourage women to become photographers and recorders of their family’s travels, activities, milestone events and every day occurrences. Inspired by these ads, I’m creating photographs showing women as active photographers rather than the passive subject of a male photographer’s work that we so often see.
In the photograph, Ivory Flame is portrayed as a 1920’s woman photographing with her Ihagee Pocket Folding Camera.
I thought I’d just start combining all my flower photos into one set of posts – hope you enjoy seeing some of the wonderful flowers I’ve photographed over the years

Like many other people, I started baking again during the pandemic. I haven’t done much baking in recent years – food allergies meant gluten-free and early on my gluten-free baking efforts weren’t a success. But since then, gluten-free flour mixes have come on the market, and there are lots more recipe sites with gluten-free recipes. So it was time to try again – after all – I wasn’t going anywhere – might as well start baking.
So as the first in a new series of photos – known informally as the “I’m so fucking bored, I’m baking” series – here are some blueberry muffins.
