Spring in the Gardens

Spring in the Gardens

Ok – so I’m giving up on trying to organize posts by type of flower – and will just do it by season at least for a while. There are lots of posts with just a few photos lined up – and at the rate I’m going – I may never get enough photos for an entire post dedicated to a specific type of flower.

So –  here are some of the wonderful spring flowers and scenes I’ve photographed at various gardens over the years

Zinnias

Zinnias

Zinnias are one of summer’s most prolific flowers. It seems like every garden I seen in my area (including mine) has at least a few zinnias growing in it. They come in some many wonderful colors and combinations of colors. I thought I’d share a few zinnia photos with you today.

Kodak Girl Gazelle Powers – New Photo

Kodak Girl Gazelle Powers – New Photo

I’ve recently added a new photograph – Kodak Girl Gazelle Powers  – to my website at https://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/kodak-girl-gazelle-powers/

In the first decades of the twentieth-century, the Kodak Company ran an ongoing advertising campaign designed to encourage women to become photographers and recorders of their family’s travels, activities, milestone events and every day occurrences. Inspired by these ads, I’m creating photographs showing women as active photographers rather than the passive subject of a male photographer’s work that we so often see.

In the photograph, Gazelle Powers is portrayed as a late 1910s Kodak Girl out photographing with her camera.

This photograph is available matted to 11X14 and 16X20
