Is He The One? © 2020 Patty Hankins
I’ve recently added a new photograph – Is He The One? – to my website at https://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/is-he-the-one/
In the Victorian Language of Flowers, Nigella (also known as Love-In-The-Mist) represents open to love. As I created this still life, I imagined a young women considering a marriage proposal from a young man she has been seeing. She looks back over the cards, notes, and other things associated with their courtship, trying to decide, is he the one she wants so spend her future with.
The photograph is available matted to 11 X 14 and 16 X 20

Alexander Milne Calder’s sculpture of the soul escaping the tomb on William Warner’s grave in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
This photograph is printed using the late 19th-century photographing printing process known as Kallityping. The emulsion is hand-painted onto the paper, exposed with a negative under bright lights, and toned with palladium. Each print from a negative is slightly different – so these are one of a kind images.
The photographs are printed on 8 X 10″ Bergger 100% Cotton Cot 320 paper. They are matted to 11 X 14″ in a white acid-free mat.
These one-of-a-kind kallitypes are available for $ 49.00

Cades Cove Stream © 2020 Patty Hankins
I’ve recently added a new photograph – Cades Cove Stream – to my website at https://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/cadescovestream/
When I visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I always visit Cades Coves, even though it is often the most crowded area of the park. So I was pleased one morning during a visit a few years ago to spend some time enjoying a quiet peaceful stream. And as I sat there enjoying the view, I was amazed at the number of cars that drove by, never slowing down, much less stopping to enjoy the peaceful stream.

I’ve recently added a new photograph – Yellow Gerbera Daisy – to my website at https://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/daisygerberyellow/
Gerbera daisies always make me smile. When I spotted this one growing in a friend’s garden, I had to photograph it. I just loved seeing all the details in the petals and the center of this bright yellow flower.

Since I’m not doing any traveling this summer, I’m spending more time photographing at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland than I have in recent years. Here are a few photos I’ve taken in their rose garden recently.
