Chihuly Glass at the New York Botanical Garden

In 2017, there was a wonderful exhibit of Chihuly Glass at the New York Botanical Garden. I shared most of my photos from the exhibit a few years ago. I recently came across a few I hadn’t shared so I thought I’d share them with you today.

I’ve recently added a new palladium-toned kallitype – Mother and Child, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Connecticut Palladium Toned Kallitype – to my website at https://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/mother-child-grave-hartford-ct-palladium-toned-kallitype/

Statue of a Mother and Child on a grave at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Connecticut

This photograph is printed using the late 19th-century photographing printing process known as Kallityping. The emulsion is hand-painted onto the paper, exposed with a negative under bright lights, and toned with palladium. Each print from a negative is slightly different – so these are one of a kind images.

The photographs are printed on 8 X 10″ Bergger 100% Cotton Cot 320 paper. They are matted to 11 X 14″ in a white acid-free mat.

These one-of-a-kind kallitypes are available for $ 49.00

Music (and Dancing) In the Streets

Music (and Dancing) In the Streets

One of things I love to do in New Orleans is just walk around and listen to the music. Especially it the French Quarter – it seems like there is another set of wonderful musicians playing in the streets around every corner. And sometimes you come across people dancing to the music.

Here are some of my photos of New Orleans Street musicians

A Few Members of the Poppy Family

A Few Members of the Poppy Family

As I’ve been editing some of my photos, I found several photos of flowers in the Papaveraceae (or Poppy) family that I wanted to share. The first several photos are flowers that are native to the Eastern United States. The final photo, Bleeding Hearts – Dicentra spectabilis – is native to Asia.
