I love irises. My Mom had a garden full of bearded irises just outside the front door when I was a kid – and everytime I see bearded irises at a local garden I can see my Mom’s garden in my mind.
Last year, I visited Presby Memorial Iris Garden in Montclair, New Jersey – and discovered a garden with literally hundreds (if not thousands) of irises in bloom. I spent several wonderful hours photographing there over a few days. I’m already trying to figure out when I’m heading back there for this year’s irises.
I’ve put some of the photos I took at Presby Memorial Iris Gardens and some other local gardens into a new video – Beautiful Irises II. If you missed my original iris video – you can see it on my blog.
The photographs in my video are accompanied by the wonderful harp music of Pamela Bruner. The sound track is Chopin’s Moderato Cantible from Pamela’s Classical Reverie CD available at PameleBrunerMusic.com
If you like irises – and live anywhere near New Jersey – check out the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens in Montclair, NJ. This year’s bloom is predicted for May 9 – June 6.
