One of the wonderful things about living in the DC area is the number of botanical gardens that create wonderful displays for the holidays – especially Christmas. Every year I see more and more new to me varieties of poinsettias.
When I was growing up, I pretty much remember seeing red poinsettias – with the occasional white one. Then I started seeing poinsettias in wonderful shades of pink. Most recently I’ve started seeing poinsettias with mulit-colored bracts (which are leaves not petals). I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos of some of the amazing poinsettias I’ve photographed this year with you today.
Christmas Day Red Poinsettia
Christmas Party Poinsettia
Christmas Season Marble Poinsettia
Infinity Marble Poinsettia
Marbella Poinsettia
Prima Donna Poinsettia
Red Glitter Poinsettia
Santa Claus White Poinsettia
Titan Pink Poinsettia
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my favorite poinsettia photos from this year.

Lovely professional work. Congrats. on your WIN in Washington!
How tall do they grow?
Usually a few feet tall – depends on the variety. Some are much shorter, I’ve seen a few taller ones
