I’ve photographed ranunculus blossoms in my studio several times over the past few months. Each time I see the flowers I’m fascinated by the textures and shades of colors in the petals. So I thought I’d share a few of my photos of ranunculus blossoms with you today – while I’m out west photographing at Zion National Park in Utah this week.

If you’d like to learn how I photograph flowers in my studio, please join me for Photographing Flowers in the Studio workshop on September 10. We’ll be photographing a variety of flowers using both studio strobes and continuous lights. And if the ranunculuses are in good shape at my local floral wholesaler that weekend – I’ll have some for you to photograph during the workshop.
