Yellow & Pink – New Photo

i’m becoming more and more fascinated with abstract close up photographs of flowers. When I saw these petals of a pink & yellow tulip in my viewfinder, I knew I wanted to present them as panoramic just showing the colors in petals.

I’ve recently added a new photo – Center of a Flaming Parrot Tulip – to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.

One of the things I’ve discovered I love about photographing flowers in the my studio is that I can create close-up images of just parts of the flower – like I did in this photo of the center of a Flaming Parrot tulip. In a garden, I usually can’t get close enough to the flowers to create images like this. Whereas in my studio, I can get as close as I want to – and move the flowers around so that the photo comes out looking like I wanted it to. When I saw the bold patterns of reds and yellows in these flowers I knew I want to create a photograph that shared the patterns, textures and colors with you.

Tulips at the Local Gardens II

I love photographing tulips. And fortunately for me, several of the botanical gardens in my area have spectacular tulip displays each spring. Here are some of my tulip photos from this spring – I’ll be sharing tulip photos from the local gardens this month.
