A Few Roses
Since I’m not doing any traveling this summer, I’m spending more time photographing at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland than I have in recent years. Here are a few photos I’ve taken in their rose garden recently.

When you think of roses – you might think of a red flower – with a long stem. But there are so many other members of the Rose Family! Here are a few photos of members of the rose family that I’ve edited recently.
Cherry Blossoms at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria, Virginia
Cherry Blossoms at Shofuso Japanese House and Gardens
Rose at Ladew Gardens
Tahitian Sunset Rose – Brookside Gardens
Miniature Yellow Roses at Longwood Gardens
I’ve recently added a new photo – Blush Parasol Spary Rose (Yellow & Pink) to my website at https://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/blush-parasol-spary-rose-peach/
I fell in love with these Blush Parasol Spray Roses when I first saw them. There were so many beautiful soft colors in the petals. And then as they opened up, I saw circles of shades of peach and pink.
This photograph is available matted to 11 X 14 for $ 54.00 and matted to 16 X 20 for $ 109.00

Over the weekend I spent some time photographing in the Rose Garden at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland. Even with the heat and the rain we’ve been having in the DC area, I found plenty to photograph. All these photos were taken with my Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens. I usually don’t talk about what gear I use to take my photos – but in this case, I choose to use my Lensbaby since I knew it would give me the nice soft out of focus backgrounds I wanted in my photos. It’s a whole lot easier to minimize flowers that aren’t in great shape when you can easily capture them in softer focus.
I thought I’d share a few of my photos from Brookside Gardens with you today.
Today I’m sharing the final set of roses I’ve recently photographed in my studio – a set of High Magic roses. Like the High Intensity I shared last week, these roses were intensly colored – this time in red and yellow.
