This is one of those scenes I’ve been wanting to capture for years. A beautiful day, blue skies, mountains, clouds – what more could a photographer ask for. Finally on my recent trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park I was able to capture this incredible view of Newfound Gap. Every time I look at the photo, it brings back so many memories of wonderful days spent in my favorite national park.

i’m becoming more and more fascinated with abstract close up photographs of flowers. When I saw these petals of a pink & yellow tulip in my viewfinder, I knew I wanted to present them as panoramic just showing the colors in petals.

Dahlia are some of my favorite flowers to photograph in my studio. When I found this pink & yellow dahlia at the market, I knew I had to bring it home and photograph it in my studio. I tried to capture all the wonderful shades of pink and yellow in my photograph so I could share them with you.

Gerbera daisies are some of my favorite flowers to photograph in my studio. The Teddy Bear Gerberas have slightly different centers than the standard gerberas, so somthing a little different but still fun to photograph. As I photographed this flower I tried to capture the shapes and the contast between the red and cream on the top and bottoms of the petals .
