I’ve recently added a new photograph – In the Meadow – to my website at https://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/in-the-meadow/

As I walked through one of my favorite meadows this summer, I was in awe of the waves of delicate whites and greens I saw. I’m not sure what the flowers are (other than they aren’t Queen Anne’s Lace). I hope my photo shares the sense of just being in a sea of white and green I experienced that day in the meadow.

This photograph is available matted to 12 X 20  and 16 X 24

Cardinal Flowers (Lobelia cardinalis) are one of my favorite summer wildflowers. They bring such a bright splash of color to the garden or the woods. Hummingbirds love cardinal flowers. The day I photographed these at a local garden there were several hummingbirds flitting from one plant to another, which is always amazing to see.

As I was photographing at Winterthur Gardens a few years ago, I fell in love with the Quarry Garden. It has wonderful combinations of water, flowers, grasses and rocks. In the spring, there are beautiful combinations of pink and green that I wanted to share with you in this photograph.

The emulsion is hand-painted onto the paper, exposed with a negative under bright lights, and toned with palladium. Each print from a negative is slightly different – so these are one of a kind images.

The photographs are printed on 8 X 10″ Bergger 100% Cotton Cot 320 paper. They are matted to 11 X 14″ in a white acid-free mat.

When I saw this beautiful pink peony in the woods I knew I had to photograph it! I love seeing the way the bright shades of pink stood out against the light greens and yellows of spring in the woods.

One of the unique memorials at Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans features a grieving woman. J. “Never Smile” Harrington was a well-known gambler in New Orleans. One evening, Harrington was found shot dead in his car after winning large sums of money. His wife commissioned the sculpture for his grave.
