Cades Cove Stream – New Photo

When I visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I always visit Cades Coves, even though it is often the most crowded area of the park. So I was pleased one morning during a visit a few years ago to spend some time enjoying a quiet peaceful stream. And as I sat there enjoying the view, I was amazed at the number of cars that drove by, never slowing down, much less stopping to enjoy the peaceful stream.

Like many other photographers, I haven’t been out photographing much this spring – something about the stay-at-home orders and a pandemic. One of things I love to do in New Orleans is just walk around and listen to the music. Especially it the French Quarter – it seems like there is another set of wonderful musicians playing in the streets around every corner. And sometimes you come across people dancing to the music.

Street Art in Faubourg Marigny Neighborhood

On a walk through New Orleans’ Faubourg Marigny neighborhood a few years ago, I found myself photographing the unexpected art I was seeing – whether it was what some might call grafitti to murals to painting around a store entrance. Here are some of my favorite photos from my walk.
