Dahlias are some of my favorite flowers to photograph. Whether at a local garden, a dahlia society show or in my studio, I find myself fascinated with all the colors, shapes and patterns I see in the petals. I’ve created a video with some of my recent dahlia photos. The photos are accompanied by Clementi’s Sonatina No 5, Opus 36.
I’ve been amazed at the positive response to my Tulipmania show on display at the Montgomery County Camera Club Gallery at Artists & Makers Studios 2 in Rockville. But I know many of you aren’t able to make it to Rockville to see the show, so I created a video with all of the photos from the show for you. The music accompanying my photos is Spring from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
And don’t forget – you can save 20% on matted prints of photos in the show until May 31. All the photos are on my website at http://beautifulflowerpictures.com/store/tulipmania2017/ Use the coupon code Tulipmania to receive the discount.
I love photographing irises. They are one of my favorite spring flowers. From the little dwarf irises that bloom in March to the Siberian and Bearded irises blooming in April & May and ending with the Water Irises blooming in June, I can photograph irises for months here in the Washington DC area. I’ve created a new video for you with some of my recent iris photos. The photos are accompanied by an arrangement for flute and harp based on Bizet’s L’arlesienne.
I hope you enjoy seeing my new video
If you like photographing irises as much as I do, join me for my Gardens of Philadlephia workshop from May 15-20. We’ll be visiting several gardens that should have irises in bloom and ready to photograph.
If you have any questions about this workshop, just drop me a note and we’ll find time to talk.

And I really do mean it because not only do I get to spend my time in nature photographing but I also get to talk with people about photography, nature, flower, beautiful landscapes and wonderful places. .
