Christmas at the DuPont House – Longwood Gardens – 2018

Every December I make several trips up to Longwood Gardens to photograph their annual Longwood Christmas display. It’s always spectacular. I thought I’d share some of my photos from Christmas at the DuPont house. The decorations at the DuPont house tend to me be a little more understated and a bit more elegant than some of the ones in the Conservatory.

The tree in the courtyard at the DuPont house reminded me of an old-fashioned tree with glass ornaments handed down through the generations and lots (and lots) of tinsel.

The family stored suitcases & trunks for travel under the stairs in the main hallway and every year they too are decorated for the holidays.

Throughout the house, there are little decorated scenes on mantle pieces, shelves and even the piano.

And there is always a second tree in another room at the DuPont House – this one with piles of presents below.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my photos from the 2018 Christmas at Longwood Gardens display. It was – as always – simply amazing. I can’t wait to see what the Longwood staff come up with next year for the 2019 Longwood Christmas display.
