The only way to describe Christmas at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania is MAGICAL! Every year they create a themed display that fills the conservatory, the DuPont House and the Longwood grounds. This year’s theming includes music, lots of red and gold and fantastic ribbons and garlands.
With the musical theme – the obvious place to start my sharing of photos from a specific area of Longwood Gardens is the Music Room and the Organ Room. The main tree in the music room is set up on a rotating music box, and filled with instruments. In front of the tree, chairs are all ready for a musical group to return from their break and resume playing.
Once again this year the decorations in the Organ room are a bit more elegant than the ones in the Music Room – as befits a room used for organ concerts. The tree in the Organ room is always one of my favorites to photograph.
I’ll be sharing more of photos from the 2016 Longwood Christmas display tomorrow.
