I’ve photographed several varieties of Clematis recently at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland. Members of the Ranunculaceae family, most clematises are climbing vines with lots (and lots) of flowers. The vines when full grown can be as long as 30 feet – or as short as 6-8 feet in length. The flowers are often quite large – at least 6-8 inches across – and can be seen in many shades of white, pink, and purple. By planting varieties with different bloom times, you can have clematis blooming in your garden throughout the spring and summer.
Here are a few on the ones I’ve photographed recently.

Beautiful photo’s. I grow all the clematis you have pictured (except for unknown white) in my garden. Thanks for the share.
