When I visited Catskill, New York earlier this summer I couldn’t help but smile the whole time I walked around the downtown area. The town was filled with whimsical colorful cat statues. And anyone who knows me – can just imagine how I’d react to colorful cats.
It turns out that the cats I saw this year are the 10th year of cat statues in Catskill. They are part of annual event Cat’n Around Catskill organized by the Heart of Catskill Association. The cats will be sold at a live auction in September.
I posted some of my photos of the cats a couple of weeks ago – here are the rest of these wonderful cats.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these wonderful cats as much as I did. Wonder what excuse I can use next summer so I can discover new cats in Catskill next year ?????
