I recently shared some photos I took in the cemetery of the Unitarian Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Today, I thought I’d share some of my photos of the interior of the church with you today.
The Unitarian Church in Charleston dates back to the 1770s when it was originally constructed as a Society of Dissenters (later Congregationalists) Church. In 1839, it was recharted as a Unitarian church – and is the oldest Unitarian Church in the south.
The first thing I noticed upon entering the church was the beautiful and amazing ceiling.
And then the stained glass behind the alter
But what I really loved was the stained glass in the rest of the sanctuary. I found it so peaceful and beautiful.
I’ll be sharing my more of my photos from my trips to South Carolina and Georgia in the weeks to come.
