Snowdrops - Galanthus nivalis

Snowdrops (c) 2010 Patty Hankins

I’ve just added a new photo  –  Snowdrops – to my Beautifulflowerpictures.com website.

Here in the Washington DC area, one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring are Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis) where they frequently are in bloom in the first half of March. Native to much of Europe, snowdrops have naturalized in many parts of the United States. In some of the local botanical gardens, I see snowdrops in combination with some of the early blooming irises and daffodils. They are all a welcome sight after a long winter.

This photograph is available as a 10X10″  gallery-wrapped canvas.  You can order  Snowdrops from my website and I will have it available at shows this year.
