Outdoor Christmas Lights at Longwood Gardens, 2015

Continuing with my photos of the Christmas display at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Yesterday’s and today’s photos are of the light displays on the grounds.

The photos aren’t as sharp as photos I usually share – since I was photographing at night without my tripod. There were times when I was shooting at ISO 10000 to get barely acceptable shutter speeds. I ended up with photos good enough to share on the web – but certainly not good enough to print. The light displays at Longwood are spectacular – so I don’t even particularly care that my photos are as sharp as I’d like them to be!

There was a beautiful tree near roaring fire at the entrance to the Meadow.

There was a fountain inspired display in the Italian Water Garden.

The Long Lake and surrounding area were filled with tree-shaped light dislays

And finally, the walk back to the Visitor Center included Snowflakes suspended in the trees and some beautifully lit trees.

I do have one more set of photos from Christmas at Longwood Gardens – some abtract photos I’m still editing. I hope to share them in the next week or so

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing all my photos from Christmas at Longwood Gardens. As you can probably tell, I’m a huge fan of Longwood Gardens. I love visiting, especially at Christmas. A Longwood Christmas is on display until January 10, 2016 – and a whole new display will be on view starting at Thanksgiving. I’m already looking forward to seeing how they decorate the Conservatory, the du Pont House and the grounds next year!!!!
