Not long before Christmas last year I found some wonderful red and white peppermint carnations at my local floral wholesaler. They seemed like the perfect flowers to photograph over the holidays. As I did with the other sets of carnations I’ve photographed, I found myself focusing in on small areas of a group of petals to create some abstract images of the carntations.
