On my recent trip to New Orleans, I spent some time photographing at two cemeteries. Cemeteries in New Orleans are unlike any I’ve photographed in other places. Between the above ground mausoleums, the voodoo traditions and all the incredible scuplture, places like Lafayatte Cemetery and Metarie Cemetery are a photographer’s dream. These photos are just some quick edits of photos I did while I was on the road – at some point I’ll go back and do more comprehensive edits on my photos from the trip – but I wanted to share these photos with you today.
I will be leading a photography workshop in New Orleans in February 2018. Tentative dates are just after Mardi Gras – so February 18-24. We’ll be based out of a historic hotel in the French Quarter. We’ll spend time exploring and photography the wonders of New Orleans. The workshop will be limited to 6 participants. If this workshop sounds like an adventure you’d like to join me for, drop me a note and I’ll make sure you’re among the first to hear when registration opens later this year.
