I just wanted to let you know I’ve added three workshops to my teaching schedule for later this year.
On June 7-8, I’ll be teaching a new workshop – Editing Your Photos in Lightroom. In this follow-up to my Introduction to Lightroom, we’ll be talking about the bigger picture issue of how to edit your photos to express your vision and working with the local adjustment tools (gradient filter, radial filter & adjustment brush) in Lightroom. To get the most out of this workshop, you should be familiar with Lightroom’s Library Module and the global adjustment tools in the Develop Module.
On July 18-20, I’ll be teaching my Capturing the Beauty of Nature: Photographing Flowers. This is the workshop that is all about flower photography. From two field sessions at local gardens to classroom time and individual consultations – my goal is to help you take better photographs of flowers (my favorite photo subject) with the camera gear you already have. Last year, our field sessions were at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens for the lotus blossoms and McKee Besher Wildlife Management Area for sunflowers. Not sure where we’ll go this year – but if flowers are in bloom – it very may be the lotus ponds and the sunflower fields again.
On September 20-21, I’ll be teaching my Introduction to Lightroom Workshop. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to do basic editing in Lightrom, how to organize your photos with the Library Module and how to prepare your photos for display in print and on the web.
All three workshops will take place at my home in Bethesda, Maryland and are limited to six participants. That way I can make sure you get the individual help you need.
