I recently visited Longwood Gardens and had a chance to photograph some of the flowers in their annual Chrysanthemum Festival. As always, I was amazed at the variety and beauty of all the wonderful mums on display. I thought I’d share some of my photos from the show with you today.

New Photo: Lava Chyrsanthemum

I’ve recently added a new photo – Lava Chrysanthemum– to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.

Chrysanthemums are some of my favorite fall flowers. They come in so many shapes and varieties that they can add an incredible splash of color and texture to any garden. I fell in love with the Lava Spider Mums when I first saw them. Not only is there a wonderful combination of yellow and pink in the flowers but the center often seems to for a little pink heart.
