Lavender Siberian Iris Petals – New Photo

As I photographed these lavender siberian iris petals, I found myself focusing on the combination of the shades of lavender and yellow.

The photograph was taken with a Lomo Petzval Lens so I could get the nice soft feel in the photo that I was looking for.

Azaleas, Irises and Dogwood

While I was in California last month, I spent a wonderful few hours at the Jensen Botanical Garden in Carmichael, California. I found some wonderful azaleas, irises and dogwood to photograph. All the photos were taken with my Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens.

Irises at Presby Memorial Iris Gardens II

This past spring I had a chance to stop at the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. This is my favorite iris garden. If I manage to time my visit correctly, I have my choice of hundreds of bearded irises to photograph. Unfortunately, I was a little early this year. I thought I’d be there for peak bloom, but alas Mother Nature had other plans. So I didn’t have as many types of irises to photograph as I had hoped. But even so, I found some beautiful flowers to photograph. I shared the first set of my photos from Presby Memorial Iris Gardens last week, and I’m sharing the rest here today.

Irises at Presby Memorial Iris Gardens I

This past spring I had a chance to stop at the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. This is my favorite iris garden.
