Orchids are one of the flowers that I never know what I’m going to see when I go to photograph them. They come in so many colors, shapes and textures. It’s always fun to see and photograph them. Here are a few orchid photos I’ve edited recently.

I’m always amazed at how many different colors, shapes and textures of orchids I see at local botanical gardens. I probably shouldn’t be – since there are over 27,000 species of orchids. I’ve created a new video for you with some of my favorite photographs of orchids. The photos are accompanied by Mozart’s Piano Sonata No 16 Allegro.

I hope you enjoy my video. Please feel free to share it with your friends

I’ve had a wonderful time recently photographing some epidendrum orchids. I love the bright shades of red, yellow and orange that I’m seeing in these delicate orchids.
Epidendrum orchids are native to the western hemisphere – found from South Carolina to Argentina. They grow in all sorts of locations and conditions – ranging from jungles to along the shore.
