In the Studio: Martina Roses

I recently photographed some Martina Roses in my studio. What was really fun about these roses was the variety of colors in the flowers. Some were pink and yellow, others were shades of orange, and few were a very pale pink/orange. As I edited the photos, I tried to emphasize the different shades of colors in these wonderful flowers.

New Photo: Babe Spray Roses (panoramic)

I’ve recently added a new photograph – Babe Spray Roses – to my web store.

When I saw these bright orange Babe spary roses at my local florist, I knew I had to photograph them. I just loved the bright colors and they way their petals looked all bunched together. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to present this photo as a panoramic image or as a rectangle – I liked both crops equally. So for the first time, I’m offering a photo in two different versions.

New Photo: Paloma Rose

I’ve recently added a new photo – Paloma Rose – to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.

I love photographing roses – and trying to show the delicate beauty of the center of a rose. In this photo, I cropped the photo show overlapping layers of petals. The red edges of the petals helps define the layers and petals.

I’ve recently added a new photo – Jalah Rose – to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.

What can I say about a Jalah Rose – other than what a beautiful rose. I loved seeing all the shades of peach and orange in the flowers. And then when I took them into my studio and set one of them up under the lights, I was amazed at the shades of color and detail that I could capture.
