I spent a wonderful day photographing at Longwood Gardens earlier this month. I’d gone up to Kennett Square in search of tulips. I was a little late for peak tulip bloom but I did find lots of flowers to photograph – including a few tulips. I’ve recently added a new photo – Center of an Orange Tulip – to my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website
I’m becoming more and more fascinated with abstract close up photographs of flowers. What I loveed about the tulip was the contrast of the orange petals with the yellow center with just a hint of green. One of the tulips had fallen away which allowed me to photograph the center from this angle.
