Center of a Flaming Parrot Tulip – New Photo

I’ve recently added a new photo – Center of a Flaming Parrot Tulip – to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.

One of the things I’ve discovered I love about photographing flowers in the my studio is that I can create close-up images of just parts of the flower – like I did in this photo of the center of a Flaming Parrot tulip. In a garden, I usually can’t get close enough to the flowers to create images like this. Whereas in my studio, I can get as close as I want to – and move the flowers around so that the photo comes out looking like I wanted it to. When I saw the bold patterns of reds and yellows in these flowers I knew I want to create a photograph that shared the patterns, textures and colors with you.

Sometimes when I’m in the studio photographing I created abstract photos. Other times I want to just show the beauty of a flower. So here are a pair of pink and yellow tulips photographing against a dark black background.

I’ve recently added a new photo – Weber’s Parrot Tulips – to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.

Parrot Tullips are one of my favorite types of tulips. And these Weber’s Parrot Tulips are among my favorite parrot tulips. They have such wonderful patterns in the petals in shades of pink, white, red and green. I couldn’t resist photographing them.

I’m becoming more and more fascinated with abstract close up photographs of flowers. I was fascinated by the gentle curve of the little pink petal that arced over the center of the tulip so I created this photo to emphasize the curve
