For the past 13 years, the Heart of Catskill Association in Catskill, New York has organized a public art project Cat’N Around Catskill for cat lovers everywhere! Each year, artists decorate cat sculptures and they are placed on Main Street and a few other locations in town. I first saw the Cats in 2017 when I was photographing in the area. Last month, I spent some time in the Hudson River Valley, so of course I had to check out this year’s cats.
This year, there are 52 cats on display. I had a wonderful time photographing the 48 that I found. I’ll be sharing photos of some of them all this week in a series of blog posts.
And so here they are – the 2019 Cats of Catskill
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these wonderful cats. I’ll be sharing more photos of the cats tomorrow.
LOVE them—any chance you are considering a coffee table book—a calendar of them?
Sheila
Sorry – not planning to print/publish them. I love them but really what I’m doing is photographing other people’s art. 🙂
